billz, billz, billz

So call me stupid, call me naive, but whats the big deal with paying a doctor's bill 4 months after your appointment? Geez they were after me like I had KILLED somebody! I just thought it was spam mail!........p.s. jk guys

Anyways, no real news to report. Gonna go to the gym with Gen in a bit and tomorrow is roomie's day out! We're gonna go see Slumdog. And have cheesecake. Good times shall be had!

Oh and I started classes again. So far everything's going pretty well but I can't help but remember every year of my life where school started to suck and well, I know that's inevitable. I'm kind of getting worried about getting an internship this summer because I want to be able to go to the beach and have fun and stuff and I don't really see that happening if I have an internship all summer long. Crap!!

Also, I have now extended my channel love to HGTV as well. I partially blame my boyfriend for this with all those "Flip that House" shows we've watched, but now all I can do is look at my room and try to figure out what I can design on a dime. LOVES IT!

yobama

I woke up in time for today's Inauguration festivities at approximately 11:15am. The life of a balla, shot calla. Or maybe just my last day off before work/school proceed to take over my life again, as usual. But anyway, today was not about my sleeping habits nor my problems with being busy...Obama got inaugurated and the world is now OFFICIALLY a better place. I did decide that I hate every person on the news channels who are commenting on EVERYTHING and every move they make (You're included in this, Anderson Cooper). Overall though, today was exciting for that reason alone even though nothing will top election night. I mean, right? I wasn't the only one alone, crying and clapping in my bed. Right?

Anywho, I got work early so this is going to be brief. Can't wait to read all about everything I already saw and heard twice today in tomorrows CNN.com!

it's still clean.

It's been over a week since I cleaned the shit out of my room and I am proud to report that it has remained clean! Also, I have worked out a lot this week (more than once, that's a lot for me) and my NEW BOOTS CAME IN!!!!! So it's been a pretty happy week for me. Oh, and I also found out that GMU is closing for Inauguration Day which is SICK NASTY! Can we say...4 day weekend? Playa playa playa. Normally I would insert here some kind of empty statement about me trying to get wasted on Monday or something, but a week ago I drank 3...count 'em 3 drinks (that's it) and was barfing ALL night and ALL morning the next day. So now I am suspecting my all my friends and boyfriend for roofie-ing me that night because I refuse to believe I am that big of a lightweight...even though I am literally the size of an American Girl Doll on a good day and could live in Shaq's shoes.

But lets talk Inauguration Day for a second. I really wish I had realized that D.C. would be such a fucking riot in advance because I found out that a lot of really nice places in Florida are giving like 70% off to VA, MD & DC residents for this coming weekend! DAMMIT! That would have been sooo tight. And WAY TO BE George Mason for announcing your closing down..oh I dunno, THE WEEK BEFORE HAND! Who in their right mind has any time to plan to get out of town now? Ive already decided I'm not leaving my house at all on Tuesday...maybe not even my bed. I trust no one because I've seen Northern Virginia drivers at their worst and I don't even want to be near a window with the impending doomsday lurking.

Anyways. Tomorrow I need to run to the Apple store in the mall to see if they can do anything about my dying power cord :( All my Mac people out there say YEAH! This is the 2nd power cord that has bit the dust under my watch. But this one is just dead...not melted. Whatever, apparently I'm still under warranty (uhh, someone in Apple fucked up on that one but I'm not saying anything. My warranty should have been up a year and a half ago) so hopefully its free to fix, whatever it is. I'm hoping its something major and that they're just like "Welp here's a free Macbook Air!"

i cleaned my room.

I did it. Not just like, throw all my clothes on my nest chair...I legitimately did laundry, put it away, organized my shoes, fresh sheets, etc. etc. The whole 38 yards if you will. The boyfriend was blown away. Its part of my resolution, ya see? I'm an adult now. I even buy groceries.

I also bought adult clothes today! I bought big girl boots from Victoria's Secret and a big girl faux-leather jacket from Arden B. Both were under $70! You see, big girls find sales and discounts and take action. This is a fact.

Can we talk about how I haven't changed the channel away from the Food Network for at least 2 weeks now? I've missed 2 brand-spankin'-new episodes of Grey's for this. 70% of the time I'm not even completely watching it! I just like having it on in the background. I want Paula Deen's voice echoing through my room at all hours of the day.

She sings me to sleep at night with her disgusting recipes such as "Chocolate Chip Zucchini Bread" that no doubt contains 3 cups of butter. I have to hear about how her sons are doing. I need to see how bad her sweater will be. She is my new blanket.

One guy I hate on Food Network is Guy Fieri.

I had a very serious conversation with my boyfriend about whether or not he actually has fans. I do not see how this is possible because bleached hair on a dude + spiked up + JNCO button down t-shirts = douchebag. There's no other way to put it. Apparently he does though, because his website has a merch section. Who knew.

new years resolsucksions

Totes off to a great start with 2009. How many blog posts are starting with that exact line? Anyway, I didn't make any "official" specific resolutions, but one great big umbrella of a resolution that covers many specific points and behaviors. I resolve to be a) awesome and b) more of an adult. That means buying more adult-like clothing, cleaning more, cooking for myself more, and getting better grades as well as getting an internship! Basically, be more awesome than I already am. I know right, it's a challenge to top this monster of a gal. But I sure as hell am going to.

I started tonight with my room. I found out that my head sheds a lot of hair. And most of that hair ends up on black clothing. No, its not just because that clothing is darker therefore easier to spot blonde hairs on it...it's science. I have about 4 piles of laundry to finish tonight and then just to unload my car/unpack my Christmas presents and I am officially a woman. Its a fact.

Anyways, babysitting is going great. I got both of them down for at least 45 minutes at the same time today which was sick nasty. I gotta go though because The Secret Life of the American Teenager is on and I'm a 12 year old girl on the inside. BUT NOT FOR LONG!

christmas thru nye

christmas was spectacular. got an iPhone, makes me feel like a real hipster and not a fauxster anymore. nye was spent at my high school BFF's house with a bunch of kids i never knew/liked in high skewl but it was fun because a few of my fave MDers came out for the occasion.

its 2009 now and i am pretty sure that this is gonna be the year of transition into adulthood. i started nannying 3 days a week this week and so far so good. the girls are 2 and 7 months so its not too hectic but if i stay with them im sure the crazies are soon to come out. also id like to be alone with them and not with the parents because the 2 year old just runs off and bothers them any chance she gets.

and now im watching the bridal bowl on MTV where underagers get married to other jailbaits with spencer and heidi looking on in a crowded nyc MTV studio overlooking times square. i cant think of a better definition of romantic, can you?

hope everyone's new years was great and will continue to do so!
